Ahhh Bridal shows, never a dull experience. Especially this one which is put on my Marc McIntosh from Richmond Bridal Showcase Our preparation began the day before when we realized that none of the items that we were going to bring to the show were going to fit in our cars! So we found a U-haul to rent, & after staying up all until around 2am prepping the stuff we decided it was time for a 5hr nap.
The next morning we woke up really early and drove a u-haul full of stuff down 76 and through all of the tolls. I swear the van we were driving had absolutely no shock absorbers because with every bump it felt like the entire van lifted up about a half a foot! Once we got there we drove around to the loading area where we only had 20 minutes to get everything out of our van and into the building, a drastic improvement from our decision to make several trips from the parking lot to the show room the year before (an experience Kristy will never let me forget).
Once we had everything set up we were ready or at least we thought we were. In fine form murphey’s law came to pass and our 42″ LCD display wouldn’t be showing our slide shows because our Apple tv was malfunctioning (a problem that actually happened to a couple vendors). Heart broken, we pushed on hoping that if nothing else our display, comfortable seats, and chocolate would entice brides in. The brides were very overwhelmed and had much to see that they didn’t have time to come in and sit down for long, and they were so full from all of the food that the caterers brought that they couldn’t fit any of our chocolate (a detail Kristy and I didn’t mind too much as it left more for us). Yet after a long day of going over prices, talking about our style and why we’re different from everyone else we were able to meet a lot of really nice brides and vendors.

Elle Paper who was right next to us makes some great invitations, so I had to give a shout out to them.

We also saw Jennifer Colina at the show as well as Vera. Once they learned that we had places to sit in our booth they quickly made good use of it!

Vera was so happy when she saw me taking this, but because she was talking to a customer she was powerless to stop me!

And here she is point to her logo, but I couldn’t resist putting mine there too.

And then there is the amazing and talented Shafonne, with Making your event Special. If you haven’t gotten a chance to look at some of her stuff please do she helps a lot of brides have a worry free wedding!

We had a lot of fun and if you saw me during the show don’t hesitate to drop us a line!
